Mall Game Map

Every wing, store, bathroom, and vent - so Act 2 directions are not a vocabulary test.

Last updated:

This page names every Mall Game wing and store so Act 2 directions make sense. “Go to BCPenney” only works if BCPenney is a real place in your head. If you already know the layout from Act 1, use this page as a reference check. If you do not, read it before the walkthrough.

Stores and wings

BCPenney - the main saferoom wing. Gavin hides here. BCPenney reception is a glizzy spawn on Normal. Vent access to the food court.

BloxStop - tech and gadget store. Keys from Gavin “fail” here so you follow the blood trail to David. Not a quest hub, but a landmark.

Food court - cafeteria, pizza, and the camped hallway. The obvious corridor back from fuel is a wipe. The bathroom connector is the intended path.

Arcade - the obby location. Historically monster-free. Safe breathing room between Acts.

Bathrooms - not just a need. The girls’ room - stall - boys’ room - vent connector is the skip around the camped cafeteria hall.

Lounge - Witches Brew pickup (Hard). Security key sometimes here.

Vents

Vents connect wings. Some are one-way. The blood trail to David goes through a vent you cannot return from the same direction. If a vent is one-way in your build, believe the hatch, not a 2025 YouTube comment.

Management and offices

Late-game area. Tight lockers, fast turns, patrol that punishes stacked hitboxes. This is where hiding-spot tiers matter most. The management code is read from in-world digits, not pasted from a YouTube comment.

Rooftop

The ending. Service elevator from the management level. The public mall elevator in the concourse is Act 1 only - it does not exist in Act 2.

The lot

Act 1 only. Players who sprint back to the parking lot after the blackout are fighting the tape. The exit is the rooftop.

BCPenney wing layout

The BCPenney wing is the first saferoom you encounter in Act 2 and serves as the hub for the early quest chain. The reception desk sits near the main entrance from the concourse, and this is where the glizzy often spawns on Normal difficulty. The back of the BCPenney wing connects to a vent network that leads toward the food court, which becomes critical during the fuel loop return journey. Gavin’s position varies slightly between builds, but he is always somewhere within the BCPenney sales floor, typically near a register or behind a display. The wing has multiple exits: the main entrance back to the concourse, the vent to food court, and side passages that connect to adjacent stores. Knowing which exit to use based on your current objective is essential for efficient routing.

BloxStop and the blood trail

BloxStop is the tech store that triggers the transition from Gavin’s quest to David’s quest. When the BloxStop keys “fail,” the game spawns a blood trail that leads through BloxStop and into the back corridors where David is hiding. This is not a random encounter - the blood trail is the intended path. Players who try to navigate to David without following the trail will find themselves in dead ends or worse. The BloxStop itself contains generic tech props (computers, phones, accessories) but nothing quest-critical. It serves as a visual landmark that signals you have left the saferoom zone and are entering the dangerous middle section of Act 2.

Why the map matters even on replays

Even players who beat the game once slip up on Act 2 because they remember Act 1 shortcuts that no longer exist. The public mall elevator in the concourse stops working after the blackout. The parking lot exit is sealed. The food court direct route is camped by Mother in Tape 2. Knowing which landmarks still matter and which are traps is the difference between a clean Tape 2 and a wipe at minute 4.

Vents and connector shortcuts

Vents run one-way in most patches. The blood trail to David goes through a vent you cannot return from, so commit to the route before entering. The bathroom connector (girls’ room → stall → boys’ room → vent) skips the camped cafeteria hallway and is the safest route between BloxStop and the arcade. The rooftop elevator only works from the management level, never from the concourse.

Management and offices deep dive

Late-game area with tight lockers, fast turns, and patrols that punish stacked hitboxes. Hiding-spot tier matters most here because lockers are tight enough that one bad peek gets you grabbed. The management code is read from in-world digits — never from a YouTube comment — because the digits change between patches. Rooftop is reached only via the service elevator from management; the public elevator does not exist in Act 2.
