How to Redeem Mall Game Codes

Five steps to your first code reward - and what to do when the button is missing.

Last updated:

Code redemption in Mall Game is a lobby action. You do not need to be in Tape 1. You do not need a friend. You need the Claim Codes button, a valid string, and about thirty seconds.

Steps

  1. Launch Mall Game on Roblox.
  2. Wait for the main menu / lobby to load. Do not click Play.
  3. Look at the top of the screen. Click Claim Codes.
  4. Paste a code into the Enter Code Here text box.
  5. Click Apply. Rewards land in your inventory automatically.

When Claim Codes is missing

The revamp alpha has hidden the Claim Codes button on first load for some players. If the button is not visible:

  • Rejoin the server (exit to lobby, then re-enter)
  • Wait five seconds and check again
  • Confirm you are in the lobby, not already in Tape 1

This is a known alpha UI quirk. It is not a code removal or a server-side block.

Code formatting

  • Codes are case sensitive. Type exactly as listed on the Codes-Hub.
  • No spaces before or after the string.
  • One code at a time. Apply, collect, then enter the next.

What codes give

  • Tix - mall currency, spent on revive tickets
  • Revive Tickets - continue from a checkpoint after Mother grabs you

Neither is a cosmetic. Both go to your in-game inventory or stash.

After you redeem

Start Tape 1 so those rewards actually do something. Tix buys tickets; tickets save a run on David’s arm or the fuel loop. Do not let them sit in the stash while you die on Act 2 because you have no revives left.

Server-side redemption limits

Some codes have a cap on total redemptions. When the cap fills, the code returns invalid even if it is not officially expired. This is different from a one-time personal use code - it means the global pool is exhausted. There is no workaround for this. Check the codes hub for alternatives or wait for the next code drop. The developer has not announced a pattern for how often new codes are released, but community tracking suggests milestone-based drops around major like-count updates on the Roblox game page.

Mobile vs PC redemption

The redemption interface works identically on mobile and PC. On mobile, use the in-game keyboard to paste or type the code string. Avoid copying from external browsers while the Roblox app is in the background - clipboard behavior can strip characters or add unexpected spaces. If a code fails on mobile but worked on PC, try retyping it character by character instead of pasting. Some mobile keyboards add trailing spaces that are invisible but break the string match.

Where the redeem box lives

Open Mall Game from your Roblox library. From the lobby, look left of the spawn pad for a holographic kiosk with the word “Codes” hovering above it. Walk up and press E (or tap the prompt on mobile / controller). A chat-style box appears in the bottom-left of the screen. Codes are not case-sensitive but ignore leading or trailing whitespace when you paste.

Common redemption errors

“Invalid code” — the string is wrong, expired, or region-restricted. Double-check the source. “Already redeemed” — your account has already claimed this reward once, so it cannot be claimed twice on the same profile. “Server error” — try a private server first, then rejoin. If a code fails in the public lobby but works in a private server, the issue is server load, not the code itself.

Why codes sometimes fail mid-stream

During like-push events the redeem endpoint gets hammered. Roblox rate-limits per-account, so refreshing and retyping repeatedly only triggers the limiter. Wait 30 seconds, switch servers, and try again. Codes never “expire mid-stream” — once activated they stay active until the dev team closes them. If a code works for a friend and not for you, the issue is almost always account-bound redemption cap, not the code.

Console-specific tips

On PlayStation and Xbox, the on-screen keyboard can be slower but works the same way. Copy your code from this wiki or your notes app, then paste using the paste button in the Roblox keyboard. Some controllers require you to hold the paste button for a second. If Apply does not respond after typing, try closing the keyboard with the B button (Xbox) or Circle (PlayStation), then click Apply with the A button or X.

First-time redeemers checklist

Before entering your first code: confirm you are on the main menu, not in a game. Open the codes hub on this wiki on a second device or browser tab. Copy one code at a time. Enter it exactly as shown. Click Apply. See the success toast? Check your stash or inventory. Still nothing? Wait 10 seconds and check again. Some rewards appear with a slight delay.

Why codes sometimes give different rewards

The same code can give different rewards depending on timing. Early redeemers often get bonus items; later redeemers may get base rewards only. This is intentional. Some codes tier rewards by player count. Check the codes hub for what each code is currently giving. If you redeem late and get fewer items than a friend, that is normal.
